Overview

Phosph8 is a clean, highly soluble inorganic phosphate supplement designed to correct ultra-low PO₄ and stabilize nutrient balance in modern reef aquariums. Maintaining a small, consistent phosphate level supports zooxanthellae metabolism, coral coloration, polyp extension, and a healthier microbial community—especially in ULNS systems with heavy export (skimmer, refugium, GAC/GFO).

Directions & Dosing

Always test PO₄ before and 30–60 minutes after dosing. Typical mixed-reef targets: ~0.02–0.08 ppm (tune for your system).

  1. Start low: Add 1 drop (~0.05 mL) per 25 gal (95 L), wait, and re-test.

  2. Creep to target: Repeat small additions until your target is reached.

  3. Stabilize: Maintain with daily micro-doses based on your tank’s consumption rather than large, infrequent additions.

  4. Application: Dose into a high-flow area or sump; avoid simultaneous dosing with high-pH additives—separate by 5–10 minutes.

Pro tips

  • If using GFO or other PO₄ binders, reduce/temporarily remove while raising PO₄; media can instantly strip additions.

  • Do not use alongside lanthanum chloride flocculants.

  • If PO₄ overshoots, pause dosing and rely on export/water changes until you’re back in range.
