Brightwell Aquatics Reef Snow
Overview
Reef Snow is a liquid food and supplement formulated to replicate the natural “marine-snow” effect found in reef ecosystems. It combines carbonate-bound major, minor, and trace elements (in aragonite ratios) with marine-derived proteins and lipids (in coral tissue ratios), allowing suspension-feeding invertebrates such as corals, clams, tube worms, sponges, and tunicates to receive both inorganic and organic nutrients simultaneously. Designed for use in both zooxanthellate and azooxanthellate corals, it enhances skeletal growth and soft tissue development without the need for refrigeration.
Key Features
-
Provides both inorganic and organic nutrients in one formulation.
-
Supports a wide range of suspension-feeding marine life, including SPS/LPS corals, clams, and sponges.
-
Mimics natural “marine snow,” enhancing coral feeding response and nutrient availability.
-
Contains no sugars or sugar derivatives—uses marine proteins and lipids instead.
-
Offered in multiple sizes: 125 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL, 2 L, and 20 L.
-
Stable at room temperature; refrigeration optional to extend freshness.
-
Works best when dosed at night with filtration paused for 10–15 minutes.

Directions:
-
Shake well before use.
-
Broadcast feeding: 2.5 mL (½ cap) per 50 gal every other day for the first 4 weeks, gradually increasing as desired.
-
Target feeding: Apply 2–4″ upstream of corals or filter-feeders using a syringe or pipette.
-
Turn off skimmers and filtration for 10–15 minutes during feeding.
Storage:
