Overview
Spark fast, visible feeding response. Polyp Ignite delivers a focused blend of free-form amino acids, marine hydrolysates, and trace co-factors that encourage polyp extension, improve capture of particulate foods, and support healthy tissue in SPS, LPS, soft corals, zoanthids/palys, and gorgonians. Designed for modern low-nutrient reefs, it complements your regular coral foods without flooding the system.
Key Features
-
Rapid polyp extension – Promotes immediate “feed mode” for better particulate capture.
-
Amino-rich formula – Supplies key building blocks for tissue maintenance and recovery.
-
Low-nutrient friendly – Easy, measured dosing helps nourish corals without chasing NO₃/PO₄ spikes.
-
Flexible use – Target or broadcast dose; pairs well with fine particulate foods and phytoplankton.
-
Reef-safe – No copper or harsh preservatives when used as directed.
Directions
-
Shake very well.
-
Start low: Dose per label for total system volume 3–4× per week, beginning at ½ dose for 1–2 weeks.
-
Feeding window: For target feeding, reduce flow briefly, dose near colonies, wait 3–5 minutes for response, then offer your particulate food. For broadcast, add to a high-flow area.
-
Export timing: If running strong UV/ozone, dose when lights are on and pause sterilizers for ~1–2 hours to maximize contact time.
-
Monitor nutrients: Track NO₃/PO₄ weekly and adjust dose/frequency to coral uptake and tank export capacity. Do not overdose.
Tip: Alternate Polyp Ignite with your amino acids and fatty-acid/omega supplements on different days for a complete program.
Best Practices
-
Keep reef parameters steady: Alk 7.5–9 dKH, Ca 420–450 ppm, Mg 1280–1380 ppm, Salinity 1.025–1.026, Temp 77–79°F (25–26°C).
-
Provide appropriate PAR and spectrum for your coral mix; avoid abrupt lighting changes.
-
Clean mechanical filtration regularly so loosened organics are exported efficiently.
-
Increase/decrease dosing slowly based on polyp extension, tissue fullness, and nutrient tests.
Compatibility
-
Safe for mixed reefs, clams, and NPS gorgonians (NPS often benefit from smaller, more frequent feedings).
-
Works alongside carbon, PO₄ media, and bacterial supplements; space dosing 24 hours away from oxidizers/medications.
-
Skimmers may remove some dissolved organics—time your dose for best exposure.
