Overview
Hit your target nitrogen fast—using far less volume. NeoNitro 5X delivers the same clean, plant-available nitrate (NO₃⁻) as NeoNitro, but at five times the concentration, making it ideal for larger tanks, high-uptake CO₂ aquascapes, and dosing pumps where precision and economy matter.
Key Features
-
5× concentration – Smaller doses, fewer refills, lower storage footprint.
-
Raises nitrate cleanly – Adds N without boosting phosphate; perfect for tuning N:P:K.
-
Supports vigorous growth – Prevents N-starvation (pale/yellowing new leaves, stalled tips).
-
Great for high-energy scapes – Matches demand in strong light + CO₂ systems and lightly stocked tanks.
-
Pump-friendly – Consistent strength for automated dosing schedules.
Directions (General)
-
Test first. Measure NO₃ with a reliable kit/photometer.
-
Dose per label for total system volume. Because this is 5× stronger than standard NeoNitro, use 1/5 the NeoNitro dose to achieve the same ppm increase.
-
Increase gradually. Raise NO₃ in small steps; re-test after 1–2 hours and again the next day.
-
Maintain a range suited to your setup (commonly 10–20 ppm in CO₂ tanks; 2–10 ppm in low-tech).
-
Re-establish targets after water changes. If also dosing NeoPhos and micros/iron, stagger by a few hours.
Avoid large single jumps. Steady NO₃ with balanced light and CO₂ discourages nuisance algae.
Best Practices
-
Balance the trio: Light • CO₂ • Nutrients.
-
Track NO₃/PO₄/K weekly; watch new growth for real feedback.
-
Typical N:P (by weight) goals: ~10:1–20:1. Pair with NeoPhos as needed.
-
Keep a simple dosing log; automate with a doser for consistency.
Compatibility
-
Safe for community fish, shrimp/snails, and planted substrates when used as directed.
-
Plays well with EI, lean, and PPS-style fert methods.
-
Do not add alongside oxidizers/algaecides.
