How to Use (Summary)

1. Rinse the vial with sample water; fill to the marked line.

2. Add Reagent A as directed; cap and swirl gently.

3. Add Reagent B per instructions; swirl and wait the specified development time.

4. Compare to the color chart to read ammonia (ppm as NH₃/NH₄⁺).

5. Rinse vial and tools with fresh water after testing.

Target: Aim for 0 ppm in established systems. Any detectable ammonia warrants action (water change, reduced feeding, added biofiltration support).

Best Practices

• Test daily during new tank cycling and after major bioload changes.

• If using ammonia detoxifiers/binders, be aware some kits still read “total” ammonia; track trends over time and confirm with nitrite/nitrate progress.
