Aqua Ultraviolet – Ultima II 4,000 Filter with 1.5" Multi-Port Valve

Overview

Dependable, pressurized bead/bio filter for ponds and water features up to 4,000 gallons. The Ultima II 4,000 uses non-clogging media and a powerful cyclonic backwash to keep water clear with minimal routine maintenance—great for koi ponds and heavily stocked water gardens.

Key Features

  • Bead + biological filtration with high–surface area Bio-Tubes

  • Cyclonic backwash lifts and purges debris fast—no messy media handling

  • 1.5" multi-port valve with simple positions (Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Waste, Recirculate, Closed)

  • Low head-loss design for efficient pump pairing and long plumbing runs

  • UV- and weather-resistant vessel for outdoor equipment pads (non-submersible)

Sizing & Flow Guidance

  • Pond capacity: up to 4,000 gal (heavier stocking/full sun may require upsizing)

  • Target pump flow: ~3,000–4,500 GPH through the 1.5" valve

  • Backwash when pressure rises ~5–8 psi above clean baseline

  • Model: Ultima II 4,000

  • Ports: 1.5" slip at valve (adapt as needed)

  • Operation: Pressurized, backwashable bead/bio-media system

Installation Notes

  1. Set on a level, load-bearing pad near the pump and returns.

  2. Plumb pump to valve IN, valve OUT to pond/returns; add a WASTE line for backwash.

  3. Use unions and 1.5" PVC to minimize head loss; keep runs smooth/short.

  4. On startup, run Rinse briefly, then switch to Filter.

  5. Backwash at +5–8 psi over clean baseline or on a regular schedule in high-load systems.
