Aqua Ultraviolet – Advantage 2000 Hang-On UV Sterilizer, 8 Watt

Overview

A compact, hang-on-back UV sterilizer designed for easy add-on clarity and pathogen control. The Advantage 2000 8W mounts directly on the rim of most aquariums—perfect for quarantine tanks, nano/medium reef or freshwater displays, and polishing loops where space is tight.

Key Features

  • Hang-on design — no stand or wall mount needed

  • Plug-and-play 8W low-pressure UV-C lamp for algae/bacteria/protozoa control

  • Quick-service layout with clear end cap to verify lamp-on status

  • Quiet, compact body suitable for display tanks or sumps

  • Works with canister/return lines or a small utility pump (pump not included)

Sizing & Flow Guidance

  • Great for nano to mid-size aquariums and QT systems

  • Target ~100–200 GPH for sterilization; higher flow acceptable for simple water clarification

  • For marine/pathogen control, favor the lower end of the flow range for higher UV dose
