Overview

The Algae Free Piranha Float PLUS is a powerful yet compact magnetic cleaner for small to medium aquariums. Its strong magnet and broad pad clear film algae fast, while the floating inner half prevents sinking if the halves decouple.

Use & Tips

1. Check for grit/sand on panels before cleaning.

2. Place the pad half inside the tank; align the felt half outside.

3. Clean with overlapping vertical strokes, then finish horizontally.

4. For stubborn spots, attach an Easyblade to the outer body and use a shallow angle with light pressure.

5. Rinse pads after use; allow to air-dry.

Keep substrate away from pads—trapped sand can scratch any surface.

Care & Maintenance

• Rinse pads with fresh water after sessions; squeeze, don’t wring

• Replace pads when worn; keep dedicated pad sets per tank

• Store coupled and dry when not in use

Compatibility

• Aquarium type: Glass & acrylic (swap to acrylic-safe pads for acrylic)

• Panel thickness: Suited for thin to medium panes; confirm your tank’s thickness against the Piranha Float PLUS rating before purchase
