Overview

The Algae Free Hammerhead Float PLUS delivers strong, smooth cleaning for medium to large aquariums. Its powerful magnet and broad cleaning face remove stubborn film quickly, while the floating inner half prevents sinking if the halves decouple.

Use & Tips

1. Inspect panes for sand/grit before cleaning.

2. Place the pad side inside the tank and align the felt side outside.

3. Clean with overlapping vertical strokes, then finish horizontally.

4. For tough spots, attach an Easyblade to the outer body and use a shallow angle with light pressure.

5. Rinse pads after use and let them air-dry.

Keep substrate away from pads—any trapped sand can scratch.

Care & Maintenance

• Rinse pads with fresh water after each session; squeeze (don’t wring) to preserve the surface

• Replace pads when worn; keep dedicated pads per tank to avoid cross-contamination

• Store coupled and dry when not in use

• Aquarium type: Glass & acrylic (swap to acrylic-safe pads for acrylic)

• Panel thickness: Suited for medium-to-thick panes; confirm your tank’s thickness against the Hammerhead Float PLUS rating before purchase
