PolypLab Genesis Rock – Power Pack Rack with 4-Pack Genesis Rock
Overview
A complete bio-filtration bundle pairing the Genesis Rock Power Pack Rack with four (4) Genesis Rocks. The rack keeps media elevated and organized for optimal flow, while the ultra-porous ceramic rocks provide massive surface area for beneficial bacteria—stabilizing ammonia/nitrite and supporting long-term nitrate control.
What’s Included
-
(1) Genesis Rock Power Pack Rack
-
(4) PolypLab Genesis Rocks (standard size)
Key Features
-
All-in-one setup: Rack + four rocks—open the box and drop into your sump/AIO chamber.
-
High surface area media: Porous ceramic matrix supports dense nitrifying/denitrifying colonies.
-
Optimized flow path: Rack elevates media to reduce detritus buildup and maximize contact time.
-
Space-efficient footprint: Fits most sumps and back chambers; easy to remove for cleaning.
-
Reef-safe & inert: Phosphate-free materials suitable for marine and freshwater systems.
How to Use
-
Rinse rocks gently in RO/DI or tank water to remove dust.
-
Place the rack in a moderate-flow section after mechanical filtration.
-
Insert the four rocks into the rack.
-
For new systems, seed with a trusted bacteria culture; in established tanks, add gradually over 7–10 days.
-
Maintenance: If detritus accumulates or flow slows, lift rack and swish rocks in a bucket of aquarium water—do not bleach.
Tips
-
Handle rocks carefully; porous ceramics are fragile.
-
When upgrading or replacing media, stagger changes to preserve biological capacity.
-
Monitor ammonia, nitrite, nitrate for 2–3 weeks after adding substantial new media.
