PolypLab Genesis Rock is an ultra-porous ceramic bio-media designed to supercharge biological filtration. Each rock provides massive surface area for nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria to colonize, helping stabilize ammonia and nitrite while supporting long-term nitrate control in reef and fish-only systems.

How to Use

1. Rinse gently in RO/DI or tank water to remove dust.

2. Place in moderate flow after mechanical filtration for best colonization.

3. For new tanks, seed with a trusted bacteria culture; for established tanks, add gradually over 7–10 days.

4. Maintenance: If flow slows or detritus builds up, swish in a bucket of aquarium water (never bleach; avoid prolonged chlorinated tap exposure).

5. When upgrading or replacing media, stagger changes to preserve bio-capacity.

Notes & Tips

• Porous ceramics are fragile—handle with care to avoid chipping.

• Adding significant new bio-media can subtly change nutrient dynamics; monitor ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate during the first 2–3 weeks.

• For maximum effect, pair with consistent mechanical filtration and reasonable feeding practices.
