Directions

1. Test first: Verify boron against your target using ICP or a reliable method (typical reef targets align with natural seawater).

2. Calculate dose: Use the label’s dose-to-ppm/µg·L⁻¹ relationship for your total system volume (display + sump minus displacement).

3. Split corrections: If a larger increase is required, add in multiple small doses over 24–48 hours.

4. Maintenance: Establish a daily or weekly dose that matches uptake; confirm with periodic testing and adjust.

5. Add in high flow (sump/overflow). Do not mix in the same container with alkalinity, calcium, or concentrated traces.

Bring alkalinity (7.5–9 dKH), calcium (420–450 ppm), and magnesium (1280–1380 ppm) into range, then fine-tune boron for long-term stability.

• Keep salinity stable (1.025–1.026); unscheduled water changes can shift boron along with other ions.

• Time additions away from fresh carbon/resin swaps for consistent contact time.

• Record all trace additions; small, regular doses are more stable than infrequent large ones.
