NeoZeo is a high-quality natural zeolite media that helps strip ammonium/ammonia before it becomes nitrate, while providing a porous surface for beneficial bacteria. Used in a reactor or media bag as part of a modern low-nutrient methodology, NeoZeo supports sparkling water, cleaner rock and sand, and vibrant coral coloration.

Directions (General)

1. Rinse thoroughly to remove dust.

2. Start gradually: Use ¼–½ of the full recommended amount for the first 1–2 weeks, then increase in steps to the full dose.

3. Placement:

   • Reactor: Gentle, even flow that keeps stones mobile without grinding.

   • Media bag: Position in a high-flow sump area; knead/rinse bag periodically to dislodge mulm.

4. Maintenance: Replace a portion of the media at regular intervals rather than all at once to preserve biology.

5. Monitor closely: Track NH₃/NH₄⁺, NO₃⁻, PO₄³⁻, and observe coral response. Adjust quantity/flow if nutrients fall too quickly.

Important: Rapid nutrient drops can stress corals. Make changes in small increments and let test results guide you.

Best Practices

• Pair with a bacterial program (e.g., regular bioculture dosing) to seed and maintain a robust biofilm.

• If using an organic carbon source, start low and step up slowly while watching nutrients and coral coloration.

• Keep mechanical filtration clean; purge reactors/media bags weekly to remove trapped detritus.

• Maintain stable reef parameters (Alk, Ca, Mg, salinity, temperature) for consistent results.

• Safe with protein skimmers, carbon, and phosphate media (avoid large fresh media changes on the same day).

• Works in mixed reefs, SPS-dominant systems, and frag tanks.

• Space use away from medications or oxidizers.
