AvidAqua ModMag Giga
Overview
The AvidAqua ModMag Giga is a heavy-duty, modular magnetic mount for big jobs on thick-pane aquariums. Use it to secure accessories inside or outside the tank—powerheads, return lines, tubing, cord guides, sensors, and more—without drilling or permanent hardware.
Key Features
-
Giga-strength magnet pair grips confidently through thick glass/acrylic (verify your pane rating)
-
Modular face plate with multiple slots/holes for zip ties, clamps, and custom brackets
-
Reef-safe construction—encapsulated, corrosion-resistant magnets and marine-grade hardware
-
Low-profile design keeps a clean look and minimizes flow shadows
-
Inside/Outside versatility for organizing gear, cord management, or mounting equipment
Common Uses
-
Secure wavemakers/gyre cords and keep them routed cleanly
-
Mount tubing (dosing/ATO/CO₂), probes/sensors, or airline manifolds
-
Anchor return lines or small spray bars
-
Temporary hold for frag shelves or light accessories during maintenance
Setup & Tips
-
Clean the pane (remove salt creep and film).
-
Place the wet side inside the tank and align the dry side outside.
-
Use the slots/holes to zip-tie or clamp your accessory.
-
For very heavy loads, support from below or split weight across two ModMag units.
-
Periodically remove and wipe down both halves to prevent buildup.
Note: Always verify the ModMag Giga’s pane-thickness rating against your aquarium before use. Keep sand/grit away from mating surfaces.
