Overview

ASF Reef Shots Strontium delivers clean, pre-measured Sr doses to support skeletal growth and natural coloration in stony corals, clams, and coralline algae. Single-use shots make trace supplementation precise and mess-free—ideal for routine maintenance and ULNS systems.

Directions & Dosing

  1. Test first: When possible, verify strontium via ICP (natural seawater is roughly in the single-digit ppm range).

  2. Dose into high flow (sump or strong circulation).

  3. Starting plan

    • Maintenance: 1 shot per 60–80 gal (230–300 L) 2–3× per week.

    • Higher demand / ULNS: Up to 1 shot per 40–60 gal 3× per week.

    • Nanos: Use ½ shot (dispense into a clean measuring cup).

  4. Re-test periodically and adjust frequency to maintain your target.

  5. Separate from high-pH additives by 5–10 minutes to minimize precipitation.

If a test shows elevated Sr or livestock appears stressed, pause dosing and perform a partial water change.

Compatibility

  • Works alongside Ca/Alk/Mg routines, amino acids, probiotics, and carbon dosing

  • Skimmer-friendly (if it overreacts, lower water level or pause 2–4 hours)
