Overview
The ASF NewJet DC 2400 GPH is a high-output, ultra-quiet controllable DC pump built for larger reef and freshwater systems. With precise speed control, feed pause, and soft-start ramping, it delivers powerful, efficient flow for main returns, manifolds, and reactor/UV lines—while keeping noise and heat transfer low.
Key Features
-
Up to 2400 GPH max flow (real flow depends on head height and plumbing)
-
External DC controller with multiple speed steps for fine tuning
-
Feed Mode (temporary pause) to keep food in-tank during feeding
-
Soft-start to reduce splash and plumbing shock
-
Very quiet, low-vibration operation for living spaces
-
Energy-efficient DC motor designed for 24/7 duty
-
Marine & freshwater safe
-
Submersible install with vibration-damping suction base
-
Stepped barbed outlet for easy tubing hookup
Use Cases
-
Primary return pump for midsize to larger sumps/AIO systems
-
Drives manifolds feeding multiple accessories
-
Dedicated feed for carbon/GFO/biopellet/UV reactors
-
High-throughput mixing stations and water features
Installation & Maintenance
-
Rinse pump and fittings before first use.
-
Mount fully submerged in sump or display; maintain a stable water level at the intake.
-
Connect flexible tubing to the stepped barbed outlet and secure with a clamp if needed.
-
Set speed via the controller; confirm overflow balance and return-chamber stability.
-
Monthly (or as needed): Unplug, remove front cover, pull the impeller, and rinse the impeller/cavity to clear film and debris.

Sizing tip: Vertical lift, elbows, valves, and smaller-ID tubing reduce effective flow. Choose a pump with headroom and use the controller to dial down to your target turnover.
