Aqua Ultraviolet – Ultima II 6,000 Filter with 2" Multi-Port Valve

Overview

Robust, pressurized bead/bio filter for ponds and water features up to 6,000 gallons. The Ultima II 6,000 combines non-clogging media with a powerful cyclonic backwash to keep water crystal clear with minimal routine maintenance—ideal for koi ponds and heavily stocked water gardens.

Key Features

  • Bead + biological filtration using high–surface-area Bio-Tubes media

  • Cyclonic backwash lifts and purges debris fast—no messy media cleaning

  • 2" multi-port valve with simple handle positions (Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Waste, Recirculate, Closed)

  • Low head-loss design supports long plumbing runs and external pumps

  • UV- and weather-resistant, corrosion-proof vessel for outdoor pads (non-submersible)

Sizing & Flow Guidance

  • Pond capacity: up to 6,000 gal (heavy fish load/full sun may require upsizing)

  • Target pump flow: ~4,000–6,000 GPH through the 2" valve for best performance

  • Backwash when the pressure gauge rises ~5–8 psi above clean baseline

Specifications

  • Model: Ultima II 6,000

  • Valve: 2" side-mount multi-port

  • Ports: 2" slip at valve (adapt as needed)

  • Operation: Pressurized, backwashable bead/bio-media system

  • Installation: Outdoor-ready; level, well-supported base

  • Warranty: Manufacturer limited warranty on tank/valve (see terms)

  • 2" multi-port valve (handle & sight glass)

  • Union/tailpiece set (model dependent)

Installation Notes

  1. Place on a level, load-bearing pad near pump and returns.

  2. Plumb pump to valve IN, valve OUT to pond/returns; add a WASTE line for backwash.

  3. Use unions and 2" PVC to minimize head loss; keep runs smooth and short.

  4. On first start, run Rinse briefly, then switch to Filter.

  5. Backwash at +5–8 psi or on a regular schedule for high-load systems.
