Aqua Ultraviolet – 114 Watt Classic UV Sterilizer, 2" (White)

Overview

A high-capacity UV sterilizer for serious pond and aquarium systems. The Classic 114W (2" ports) uses dual 57-watt lamps and a reflective internal chamber to deliver strong UV-C performance for water clarity and pathogen control—ideal for large freshwater ponds or sizeable saltwater/reef life-support loops.

Key Features

  • Heavy-duty Classic housing with 2" slip ports for high-flow plumbing

  • Dual-lamp design (2 × 57W) with separate inline power supplies

  • Clears green water and reduces algae, bacteria, and protozoa load

  • Weather-resistant, non-submersible body for indoor or protected outdoor installs

  • Service-friendly layout; optional manual wiper available on the “Wiper” variant

Sizing & Flow Guidance

  • Sterilizer (freshwater): up to ~2,200–4,400 gal

  • Sterilizer (saltwater): up to ~700 gal

  • Clarifier (freshwater): up to ~9,500 gal (with 50–75% plant coverage)

  • Typical max flow (sterilizer): ~3,900 GPH target for ~30,000 μW·s/cm² at end-of-lamp life

For tighter pathogen control (higher UV dose), reduce flow; for simple water clarification, higher flow is acceptable. Match pump and head-loss accordingly.

Installation Notes

  1. Install after mechanical filtration on a pressure side; do not gravity-feed.

  2. Use unions/valves for service and to fine-tune flow.

  3. For marine systems, many pros skip the wiper variant; manual sleeve cleaning during lamp changes works well.

  4. Replace lamps annually (≈9–12 months run time) for consistent UV dose.

  5. Protect from direct weather; unit is weather-resistant, not submersible.
