Overview

The Zoo Med ReptiSun® 10.0 Compact Fluorescent Lamp is specially designed for desert and basking reptiles that require high levels of UVB exposure. With 10% UVB output and 30% UVA output, this full-spectrum lamp helps prevent or reverse Metabolic Bone Disease while promoting natural feeding, mating, and activity behaviors. Built with UVB-transmitting quartz glass, it ensures maximum penetration and effectiveness. The compact fluorescent design is cool-burning, energy efficient, and fits into any standard threaded socket without the need for a separate ballast. It can be positioned either vertically or horizontally in a reptile hood or clamp lamp fixture, making it a flexible choice for many terrarium setups.

Key Features

  • High UVB Output – 10% UVB helps synthesize vitamin D3 for strong bones and calcium metabolism.

  • UVA Radiation – 30% UVA output supports natural reptile activity, feeding, and reproductive behaviors.

  • Full Spectrum Lighting – Mimics natural sunlight for healthier reptiles.

  • Quartz Glass Technology – Special glass construction enhances UVB transmission and lamp durability.

  • Compact, Easy to Use – Fits into standard threaded sockets; no ballast required.

  • Flexible Orientation – Can be used vertically or horizontally.

  • Cool-Burning Efficiency – Safe for use in terrariums without adding excess heat.
