Zoo Med Eco Earth® Coconut Fiber Substrate is an eco-friendly, natural substrate made from the husks of coconuts—perfect for reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates in naturalistic terrarium setups. This soft, moisture-retaining substrate can be used damp for tropical species, where it helps maintain humidity, absorb waste, and control odors naturally.

Use Eco Earth® on its own or layer it over Zoo Med HydroBalls® to create an ideal drainage layer that promotes healthy plant growth and moisture regulation in bioactive terrariums. Available in both loose and compressed brick forms for your convenience, Eco Earth® is safe, sustainable, and compostable after use.
