Directions

1. Test first: Measure potassium and confirm your target (commonly 380–420 mg/L for mixed reefs).

2. Calculate dose: Use the label’s dose-to-ppm relationship for your total system volume (display + sump minus displacement).

3. Split corrections: If a larger increase is required, add in multiple small doses over 24–48 hours.

4. Maintenance: Establish a daily dose that matches uptake; re-test weekly and adjust.

5. Add in high flow (sump/overflow). Do not mix in the same container with alkalinity, calcium, or other concentrates.

Bring alkalinity (7.5–9 dKH), calcium (420–450 ppm), and magnesium (1280–1380 ppm) into range before locking in potassium consumption.

• Keep salinity stable (1.025–1.026) and avoid large, unscheduled water changes that can swing K.

• Dose away from fresh carbon/resin swaps for consistent contact time.

• Heavy export (strong skimming, large refugia) can raise K demand—verify more frequently in such systems.
