Aqua Ultraviolet – 15 Watt Classic UV Sterilizer, 2" (Black)

Overview

Compact, durable UV-C sterilizer for ponds and aquariums. The Classic 15W with 2" slip ports delivers proven water-clarity and pathogen reduction in a small footprint—great for polishing loops, quarantine systems, and modest displays.

Key Features

  • Classic housing with 2" slip inlet/outlet for easy plumbing into high-flow systems

  • Single low-pressure 15W UV-C lamp for effective algae/bacteria/protozoa control

  • Weather-resistant (non-submersible) for indoor or protected outdoor installs

  • Quick service access; clear end cap shows lamp-on status

  • Optional “Wiper” variant available (not recommended for saltwater use)

Sizing & Flow Guidance

  • Sterilizer (freshwater): ~200–500 gal

  • Sterilizer (saltwater): ~75 gal

  • Clarifier (freshwater): up to ~2,000 gal

  • Typical UV-dose flow targets (EOL):

    • ~700 GPH ≈ 30,000 µW·s/cm² (clarifying)

    • ~466 GPH ≈ 45,000 µW·s/cm²

    • ~350 GPH ≈ 60,000 µW·s/cm²

    • ~233 GPH ≈ 90,000 µW·s/cm² (tighter pathogen control)

For stronger sterilization, throttle flow toward the higher-dose targets.
