Overview Keep your plants fueled without guesswork. NeoNitro adds bioavailable nitrogen (as nitrate) to restore the backbone of plant growth in low-NO₃ systems—supporting lush foliage, deeper greens, and strong new shoots. Ideal for high-light or CO₂-injected aquascapes, lightly stocked tanks, and any setup where plants outpace fish waste. Key Features Raises nitrate cleanly – Targets the N in N-P-K without spiking phosphate. Dial in your target – Fine-tune NO₃ to the range plants prefer (commonly 5–20 ppm). Supports vigorous growth – Prevents nitrogen starvation (yellowing/pale new leaves, stalled tips). Great for lean systems – Balances tanks with strong light, CO₂, and low fish load. Pairs with NeoPhos & NeoK – Easily match N:P:K to your aquascape’s demand. Directions (General) Test first. Measure NO₃ with a reliable kit. Dose per label for total system volume to reach your target. Add in a high-flow area. Adjust gradually. Raise by small increments; re-test after 1–2 hours and again the next day. Maintenance: Dose as needed to hold your chosen range (often 5–20 ppm in CO₂ tanks; 2–10 ppm in low-tech). If using NeoPhos (phosphate) and micros/iron, stagger additions by a few hours for clarity. Avoid big single jumps. Consistency beats peaks and valleys for plant health and algae control. Best Practices Balance the trio: Light • CO₂ • Nutrients. If one climbs, raise the others to match. Keep a simple log of NO₃/PO₄/K and observe plant tips/new leaves for real-world feedback. Typical N:P targets: ~10:1 to 20:1 (by weight). Pair with NeoPhos to prevent imbalances. Perform regular water changes; re-establish your targets afterward. Compatibility Safe for community fish, shrimp/snails, and most planted substrates when used as directed. Works with all common fert schedules (EI, lean/low-PO₄, PPS-Pro style). Do not dose at the same time as strong oxidizers or algaecides.
